The fact is that the existing formwork blocks are made of very soft polystyrene.
Therefore, they require very great care. They are very easy to break, flatten and do not allow the pouring of a lot of concrete simultaneously in many layers.
The blocks we offer are made of solid plastic.
They are not massive - like existing ones - which is very expensive and uneconomical.
They have thin walls and have no bottom
They have partitions for durability and a thermal insulation layer is located in the middle.
But if polystyrene-concrete is poured in the block, then this thermolayer is no longer needed.
These blocks have such ends and cuts that they are attached to each other both along and across in such a way that they create a single empty space in the volume of the wall.
The partitions have such a configuration that the block can be easily cut in half.
The walls of the blocks have grooves inside on the middle - for ease and accuracy of cutting in half
And when concrete is poured into this space, a wall is obtained that does not need plastering and painting. The desired color and texture are attached to the blocks during casting.
Thus, the construction material and labor are saved.
In addition, nature will be cleared of plastic debris. The demand for a building block is so great that even waste will not be sufficient. As for environmental friendliness, it has long been established that plastic wastes are not poisonous. They are recycled and made from them new bottles and packages for food. So the block molds made from recycled plastic will not be poisonous as well as bottles for mineral water.
In the production of blocks will be used only those types of plastics that are harmless to human health - predominantly HDPE and PET. Other combinations are also possible, with different manufacturing techniques - for example, the walls of the blocks will be hollow from one material and they will be filled with another type of plastic that has a lower thermal conductivity.
To reduce the thermal conductivity of the walls of blocks, you can use a prefabricated configuration. In this embodiment, the block form will consist of separate elements that will be joined by means of grooves and ridges of the corresponding shapes.
The advantage of this configuration is that the block formwork will have only one partition ( of metal or other material with low thermal conductivity), and the transverse sides will be installed at the end of the wall. Throughout the wall, the sides of the block will be connected by means of horseshoe-shaped elements.It is possible to connect directly without additional elements, but this requires additional kinds of transverse plates.
Thus, each block will have only one "bridge" instead of four to transfer heat inside. This configuration saves the material. It is more convenient for transportation as it takes up less space, etc.
